Give Tech A Secon Life!
Got an old laptop that’s running slowly? A smartphone that’s giving you grief? Or technology sitting in a drawer because you’re not quite sure what to do with it?
Thanks to the generous funding from the Dunedin City Council’s Waste Minimisation Fund, the Valley Project is hosting Com2Tech for a drop-in workshop.
- Give old tech a second life From 14-19 September, you can bring your unwanted electronics along for our e-waste drop-off. Suitable devices will be taken to the Com2Tech workshop to be refurbished and repurposed, keeping useful technology out of landfill.
- Learn to fix it Having software trouble? On 14 September from 10am-noon, you can bring along your technology to our drop-in session and learn some simple ways to troubleshoot and fix software problems, helping you get more life out of the devices you already own.
- Why repair and reuse? The best e-waste is the stuff we never have to throw away! Repairing, reusing and our electronics saves resources, reduces waste and helps our community make the most of what we already have.
