Welcome to the North East Valley Community Directory - a website directory of businesses and community organisations in the Northern end of Dunedin city.  This directory serves as a free public resource that empowers community engagement, building connections across our corner of the earth consisting of Opoho, Normanby, Upper Junction, Liberton, Pine Hill, Dalmore, and of course, North East Valley.

How to use the directory: Browse through all the alphabetically organised listings page by page, or narrow your search by clicking on one of the below categories. If looking for a specific business or organisation, type its exact name into the provided search field.

How to be a part of the directory: Hover over the Directory tab in the main menu at the top of this page. Click on the drop-down menu item Log-in/Sign up. Fill in the form, then submit your details. A Valley Project staff member will follow up as soon as they can. Or simply click here to take you directly to the form.

The Information Centre in the Lower Gardens is run entirely by our wonderful volunteers, and we would be lost without their help. If you have a question about the Garden or your visit, this is the place to go.

We have a range of brochures about the specific collections in the garden and our
welcoming volunteers are onsite to help you get the most out of your visit, and of course, you can pick up some food to feed the (sometimes overly) friendly ducks.

The shop now stocks a collection of botanically themed gifts, selected with our travelling visitors in mind they are mostly flat and compact, but that’s not to say our local visitors won’t also appreciate them. Flat-packed tote bags, coasters and tea towels make perfect stocking fillers or easy gifts for overseas travellers.

The range includes these beautifully packaged boxed soaps, a luxury triple-milled handcrafted soap containing sustainable sodium palmate, enriched with moisturising shea butter, cocoa butter and Manuka honey, and scented with frangipani and Manuka honey. The soaps come in boxes featuring vintage New Zealand flora designs from the ‘Old Master’ decoupage series by Tanya Wolfkamp of Wolfkamp & Stone. We also stock a range of matching greeting cards. The soaps and boxes are made in New Zealand.
