NORTH EAST VALLEY - DUNEDIN

North East Valley sits along the Lindsay creek and is tucked in between Mt Cargill and Signal Hill. It includes the suburbs of Opoho, Pine Hill, Liberton, Dalmore, Upper Junction, and Normanby.

The valley has a diverse and close-knit community including families and University of Otago students. There are just over 10,000 residents.

If you're new to 'The Valley' we give you a warm welcome.

There is a great range of cafes, shops, businesses, schools, early childhood centres, and community groups for all ages and interests. Browse them all in our Community Directory.

We are also home to the Dunedin tourist hotspot of Baldwin Street, 'the steepest street in the world'.

Whether you're just visiting or settling down for the long haul, we believe North East Valley is the perfect place to be.
